Key Responsibilities:

• Lab scale synthesis of monomers and oligomers based on 1,1-disubstituted alkenes.
• Operating lab scale wiped film evaporator and filtration equipment.
• Accurate sample weighing and preparation for: NMR, GCMS, HPLC, GPC, IC, CE.
• Organizing experimental data using Excel and Smartsheet software while assuring the data is accurate and consistent.
• Carrying out to completion project related activities as determined by senior chemists and/or project managers.
• Maintaining a clean and well-organized lab space.
• Strictly adhering to laboratory safety rules and assisting in laboratory safety improvements.
• Creating and maintaining lab records according to company policy.
• Reviewing lab consumables inventory and placing orders for needed lab equipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience working in a chemical lab as part of degree requirements or through prior work experience.
• Experience writing technical reports & proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to function in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to accommodate flexible work schedule to support project objectives.
